Mama na Kuku Project
Empowering Women Through Economic Independence
In the Maasai community, women traditionally do not have the right to own property, limiting their financial independence. To address this, Nadumu Maasai Women’s Organization introduced the Mama na Kuku Project—an initiative that provides Maasai women with chickens, offering them a sustainable way to generate income and learn property ownership.

How This Project Helps Women
Economic Empowerment – Enables women to build capital and escape poverty. ✔ Entrepreneurship Development – Equips women with business and management skills. ✔ Improved Nutrition – Provides a reliable food source for families. ✔ Property Ownership & Self-Sufficiency – Teaches women how to manage resources and take charge of their own financial well-being.
Through this initiative, Maasai women gain the confidence, skills, and independence to improve their lives and secure a better future for their families.
